What does the entry fee cover?

The entry fee covers challenges, prizes, trophies, medals, certificates, website maintenance, business insurance, organisation, Barcelona evening venue with entertainment band and free meal for everyone,

What is the event about?

The event is a gathering of like minded people having a leisurely drive across Europe, it is not a speed trial or time trial and no rewards are offered for your driving.

How do I find out the exact details of the event?

We send out regular updates for hotels etc and an info booklet will be sent out a few months before the event.

How do we get to France?

There are a number of ferry companies crossing the channel and you can usually get a crossing for £30


What about hotels?

We stay in clean and cheap hotels usually ibis chain costing around £50 per night for 2-3 people, exact hotel details are emailed to participating teams.

How long does the event last?

The event officially lasts from 9am Friday morning to 8pm Sunday evening, although many teams decide to stay in Calais on the Thursday evening ready for the Friday start.

Can we modify the car?

That is entirely up to you but please remember the French/Spanish police are similar to the UK police and will usually fine people with modified cars, you need to make sure your car is legal for all countries visited, also some police don't like to see cars with stickers on so we advise against it, absolutely no custom made convertibles.

What about the £200 car?

Your car must be a banger, we are not strict on the £200 rule but you will look out of place if you attend in a more expensive car, its a fun event and an expensive car will spoil the feel of the event, there is no limit on what you can spend on the car to make it road legal for all the countries we visit.

What about car insurance?

There are many companies offering short term insurance if you do a google search, We will also provide registered teams with the details of a specialist insurance company.


Do we have to drive back?

No you can decide yourself if you want to scrap the car or drive back.


How do we scrap the car in Barcelona?

We will provide teams with a recycling company in Barcelona that pays for scrap cars, you must have the V5 logbook and it must be in your name, scraping the car in Barcelona is your responsibilty.


Can i attend in a car with a 'cut off' roof (modified convertible)?

No, no car will be allowed if the roof has been cut off or modified, factory manufactured convertibles are welcome


Do you provide back up support if we break down?

No, please make sure you have Eurpean breakdown cover.


What about the rules and regulations?

What if i cant make it on the event in 2009?

Unfortunately due to up front costs and planning we cannot give refunds for any circumstances.
