The Event Rules & Regulations
DRIVING LICENSE
Everyone who will be driving the car must have a valid driving license for the
UK and all countries that will be visited.
VEHICLE CONDITION
Although the car will be worth very little, it must comply with all legal requirements
for the UK and all countries that the event will go through.
THE CAR
The car must cost less than the stated and agreed amount as voted by the teams.
SAFETY
Please make sure you carry the required safety equipment that each country
requires, a fire extinguisher, warning triangle, first aid kit, and hi-vis waistcoat
are all recommended (and legal in some countries)!
INSURANCE & MOT CERTIFICATES
You must show the organisers your current m.o.t document, driving license,
and insurance to the organisers at the start of the rally, if you do not produce
your documents will result in you being banned from the entire event, it is
yor own responsability to have the correct travel, medical, liability and breakdown insurance.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
Everyone attending the rally must behave in a sensible, responsible and adult manner, we will not tolerate any adverse or unsociable bahaviour, people will be excluded from the event if this is not adhered to, we are very proud of the freindly and sociable atmosphere and need to keep it that way!
GETTING RID OF YOUR VEHICLE
Please find a local scrap yard in Barcelona before leaving the UK if you intend
to scrap the car. you must not leave the car in any illegal place. the organisers
accept no responsibility for vehicle disposal in Spain! we have a list of scrapyards in/around Barcelona and this will be emailed to all registered teams.
Remember: Barcelona Bangers is not a race, but a gathering of
peolpe having a leisurely drive accross Europe!
THE ORGANISERS DECISION IS FINAL IN ALL MATTERS.
