Barcelona Bangers is a Rally with a difference, imagine driving from Calais, down through Western France, through Bordaux and fashionable Biarritz, over the border onto the beautiful northern coast of Spain, then across the lower Pyrenees (Guara Mountains) to Barcelona on the Costa Brava, sounds fun! then come and do it in a car worth less than £200..

The Route 2006

Barcelona Bangers - Route for 2007

Day 1 - 8th September 2006 - Calais to Nantes
We will all meet in Calais at 9am where all the teams can laugh (sorry, admire) each others bangers!

Route:
The first days route will take us down through Normandy and then on to Brittany, after completing the challenge there is a short drive down to Nantes for our first nights stay.

Approximate distance - 360 miles

Day 2 - 9th September 2006 - Nantes to Toulouse
Route:
the route for today will be set and will take us down western France, through Bordeaux and on to Toulouse in the Mid-Pyrenees there will be a testing challenge on this day for teams to gain more points!

Day 3 - 10th September 2006 - Toulouse to Barcelona
Route:
the route for today is an option, there are 2 routes to choose from, the first route takes you towards the Mediterranean sea and then follow the Costa Brava coast down to Barcelona, approximate distance - 240 miles the second route will take you from Toulouse over the Pyrenees mountain passes and then over the Spanish border and down into Barcelona.

Approximate distance - 200 miles

Day 3 - Presentation evening in Barcelona on 10th September 2006
This evening we will all gather for a final presentation.
